Tips For Reducing Clutter After The New Year

Happy New Year everyone!!!! I hope everyone had warm and wonderful holidays. If you made resolutions for yourself this year, remember to take things one step at a time! Small changes will add up to a big change.

If you want to have less clutter this year, do it in chunks! When you work in smaller bits, you’ll build on getting it done and then the big goal will happen. Organizing baby steps will add up to big changes.

I never stick with lofty new year’s resolutions, so instead of choosing something that I will fail miserably at, I have decided that this year I will be 1% better every day. This is a fantastic concept that I learned from the wonderful Diane Forster. This philosophy is something that I am totally on board with! Instead of decluttering your entire garage in a day, what is something you can do in 5 minutes? What is 1% you can be better at today? Continuous improvement leads to permanent change! Whatever your resolution may or may not be, remember to be kind to yourself and go at a pace you can handle thereby reducing clutter day by day! Remember if you keep it up, those small changes will lead to a big change that you will be so proud of!
